Assembly to consider 5 resolutions
The Committee on Reference and Counsel has passed on five resolutions to be brought before the Synod Assembly meeting May 8-9. Update: The resolutions are now posted with the committee’s recommendations. The resolutions deal with becoming a “Book of Faith Synod,” “Ushering in Fullness of Leadership in the ELCA for All People,” requesting appropriate funding and vision for Lutheran Disaster Relief, and requiring a two-thirds majority for ELCA actions changing standards for rostering leaders.
