2009 SEPA Synod Assembly

You can be an Assembly page

In May, members of Lutheran churches from all over the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod will travel to Franconia Mennonite Church, Telford, PA to conduct the business of the synod.  YOU can be there as an Assembly Page.

What pages do:

  • Pages to the Assembly distribute ballots, materials, etc. … help as needed.
  • Watch the Assembly in session.
  • Meet people from all over the synod.
  • Learn about the church.

How to become an Assembly page:

There are some qualifications which must be met by each individual who is interested in serving as a Page.  Pages must:

1.    Be 9th grade through adult;
2.    have the physical stamina and ability to move fairly quickly throughout the Assembly hall during the time of the general sessions;
3.    arrive at the Assembly site by 8:00 a.m., Friday, May 8 and plan to stay until approximately 8:30 p.m. (meals will be provided);
4.    arrive at the Assembly site by 8:45 a.m., Saturday, May 9 and plan to stay until approximately 4:00 p.m. (meals will be provided); and
5.    have an interest in the church and how it works.
6.    attend a training session prior to the Assembly – date to be determined.

Please note: a voting member of the Assembly may not serve as a Page.
